Prayer is power! Don’t doubt it. Don’t discount it. Don’t demote it. Prayer should be at the top of your list when it comes to communion with your creator.
Pray with intention and expectation and God will do the rest.
If you have followed our previous lessons on prayer by now you should be clear about three things;
You are now ready to start your prayer life with intention and expectation.
You know God. You know His Will for you. You know how to remove any and all barriers to prayer.
You have turned to Jesus and called upon the name of The LORD and He has heard your cry and answered you. Praise God!
Now, let’s pray:
Whatever your need – spiritual, physical, financial, emotional – God is greater than any problem or pain and His promise is always good.
And all things, whatever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. – Matthew 21:22
Knowing our Father’s promise to hear and answer our prayer, we can come to Him with our problems and put before Him our petition (request) and expect our needs to be met by Him.
Follow these three simple steps to kickstart your prayer life:
- Make a list of the things you plan to put to God in prayer
- Make a schedule of times when you plan to pray
- Make a point of identifying a quiet/private place to pray daily
Don’t over-complicate things – just get started praying!
Prayer is about You and Your Creator. It doesn’t have to be anything other than your own language – spoken from the heart – to your father in Heaven.
He wants to hear from you. He wants to help you. He wants to provide for you.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. – Matthew 11:28-30 KJV
Don’t doubt His LOVE for You.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. – John 3:16 KJV
Speak with Him. Tell Him your love for Him. Thank Him for all He has done, is doing, and will do for You.
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; – Ephesians 5:20 KJV
Open your heart and cry out to Him.
The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. – Psalm 34:17 KJV
He will pour His love down upon you when you come to Him as a small child runs to a loving parent.
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. – Matthew 18:3 KJV
Are you ready to speak with your Father God in prayer?
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children. – Ephesians 5:1 KJV
Go! Speak with your loving Father in prayer and thanksgiving. He is waiting for you. Your blessing is with Him.
Get started in prayer today and then get better tomorrow!
